The SBU claims that Russian special services recruited him because of his long-standing ties to a Russian serviceman and pro-Russian views.<\/p>\n<p> According to the special services, in 2025, an employee of the FSB department for the Bryansk region contacted the man and offered cooperation. After receiving instructions, he, according to the investigation, began collecting information about the location of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, in particular fortified areas, firing positions and checkpoints on the northeastern border.<\/p>\n<p> According to the SBU, the agent transmitted the collected data via messenger to a representative of the Russian special services to prepare strikes with guided bombs and kamikaze drones.<\/p>\n<p> Law enforcement officers detained the suspect while performing another intelligence-gathering task. During the search, a mobile phone was seized from him, which, according to investigators, contains evidence of cooperation with the FSB.<\/p>\n<p> The man was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine &#8211; high treason committed under martial law.
