British Prime Minister Keir Starmer traveled to Kyiv on July 16, where he plans to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and reaffirm his continued support for Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The British government press service reported this.<\/p>\n

London noted that the visit will culminate two years of Starmer’s leadership in supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

At the meeting with Zelenskyy, the parties are expected to discuss the results of military assistance Ukraine has already received and identify further cooperation priorities to ensure the Ukrainian Defense Forces have everything they need.<\/p>\n

The British government also announced that the Prime Minister will honour the memory of the victims of the war and acknowledge the courage of the Ukrainian people, reaffirming the UK’s continued support for Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Ahead of his trip, Starmer stated that during the full-scale war, he had witnessed “the incredible resilience of the Ukrainian people and the iron will of a nation that refuses to be intimidated.” He asserted that Ukraine’s struggle defends not only its freedom but the security of all of Europe.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister emphasized that, since the beginning of his term, he has considered it necessary not only to support Ukraine but also to help create the foundation for its long-term security. He noted that the UK continues to increase defense investment, develop modern military technologies, and strengthen Ukraine’s position.<\/p>\n

“I am proud of the UK’s contribution. This work will continue, as will our unwavering support for Ukraine,” Starmer concluded.<\/p>\n
