The European Solidarity faction called on Prime Minister candidate Serhiy Koretsky to return Mykhailo Fedorov to the new government and entrust him with security and defense issues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by MP Iryna Gerashchenko after the faction’s meeting with the candidate for the position of Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

According to her, during the meeting, the deputies raised the issues of the work of the future Cabinet of Ministers, army reform, demography, restoration of critical infrastructure, European integration, as well as the situation in the energy, economy, and social spheres. <\/p>\n

Separately, representatives of the faction called on the future government to abandon the telethon and stop populist politics. <\/p>\n

Also, according to Gerashchenko, the deputies appealed to Koretsky with a request to return Mykhailo Fedorov to the government.<\/p>\n

“We advised Mr. Koretsky, if he is appointed prime minister today, to immediately invite Mr. Mykhailo to the new government, and not for a ritual position, but to develop a plan for the country’s security and defense,” Iryna Gerashchenko wrote.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Koretsky also stated that he plans to maintain a constant dialogue with the Verkhovna Rada and all parliamentary factions. According to Gerashchenko, the candidate noted that he is not a politician, and that he received the offer to head the government as a “joint decision of the deputies of the Servant of the People party and the president.”<\/p>\n
