The Council of the European Union has imposed sanctions against 1 individual and 5 legal entities linked to the Russian military-industrial complex. The restrictions are related to the massive strikes on Kyiv on the night of July 1-5, which resulted in casualties and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the Council of the EU.<\/p>\n

The sanctions were imposed in connection with Russia’s military campaign against Ukraine, which is accompanied by attacks on civilian infrastructure. The restrictions targeted individuals and companies that are part of the Russian military-industrial complex and are engaged in the production of equipment for drones.<\/p>\n

All 5 legal entities are part of the ABS Electro group of companies, which develops and manufactures electronic and radio-electronic components for the Russian Shahed and Geran drones. In particular, the companies create systems that increase the resistance of drones to electronic warfare. Individual enterprises also produce automated control systems for the Russian energy sector.<\/p>\n

Iryna Kharisova, the chairwoman of the board of the ABS Electro group of companies, who is also the director of several enterprises of this group, was subject to personal sanctions.<\/p>\n
