The Russian leader’s approval rating has fallen by 5.3 percentage points over the past four weeks.

This was reported by The Moscow Times, citing data from the Russian state sociological center All-Russian Central Election Commission.

According to the All-Union Central Election Commission, as of July 12, the level of trust in Putin is 65.1%. In the last week alone, the indicator has decreased by 0.9 percentage points, and in the last 4 weeks – by 5.3 points. As the publication notes, this exceeds the rate of decline in the rating in the fall of 2022 after the announcement of mobilization, when it decreased by 3.3 points, as well as after the breakthrough of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the Kursk region in August 2024, when the drop was 5.1 points.

At the same time, the share of Russians who disapprove of Putin’s performance has risen to 23.4%. This is almost in line with the level of dissatisfaction with the work of the Russian government, which is 24.4%.

Political scientist Ilya Graschenkov links the deterioration in sentiment to everyday problems, in particular, fuel shortages and rising prices.

“When gasoline becomes scarce and expensive, and the authorities’ response is delayed or absent altogether, it destroys basic trust in the governance system,” said Ilya Graschenkov.

According to the publication, rumors are also spreading in Russia about a possible new wave of mobilization in the fall, further militarization of the economy, and the introduction of additional restrictions on leaving the country.

Political scientist Tatyana Stanova believes that the weakening of Putin’s domestic political positions could contribute to his further radicalization. In her assessment, this increases the risks of a new military escalation.

It was previously reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin may consider the next 2 months as the last chance to change the unfavorable course of the war for Russia . At the same time, the Kremlin is intensifying military and information activity not only against Ukraine, but also against NATO countries.

The day before, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ogryzko said that Russian elites have been given the opportunity to remove Vladimir Putin from power . In his opinion, this is facilitated by Russia’s economic problems, attacks on oil infrastructure, and the worsening situation around the temporarily occupied Crimea.

By the way, the level of trust in Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has fallen by 3.4 percentage points in a week, to 73.3%. This isthe sharpest drop since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine , according to data from the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTSVGD).

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval rating has fallen to 65.1%, the lowest level since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
