As a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions were left without electricity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of Ukrenergo.<\/p>\n

In addition, due to adverse weather conditions \u2014 rain and thunderstorms \u2014 as of the morning of July 20, more than 100 settlements in Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions were completely or partially without power.<\/p>\n

Ukrenergo noted that emergency restoration work is already underway where the security situation allows. Power engineers are working to restore power supply as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

The company also recommended using powerful electrical appliances from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \u2014 during the most efficient operation of industrial solar power plants.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ukrenergo reported that electricity consumption continues to grow. As of 09:30 on July 20, it was 7.3% higher than on the previous working day, July 17. The reason was cloudy weather in most regions, which reduced the efficiency of household solar power plants and increased the load on the general power system.<\/p>\n

In addition, on July 19, the evening peak in electricity consumption was 4.4% higher than the previous Sunday. This is explained by higher air temperatures.<\/p>\n

Ukrenergo emphasized that the situation in the power system may change, so Ukrainians are urged to follow the messages of their electricity distribution system operators and official sources of information.<\/p>\n
