The international medical mission Global Care Force has completed its 40th humanitarian mission in Ukraine. This time, volunteers worked in frontline villages of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, where they provided medical assistance to over 900 patients. For safe work near the front line, the Petro Poroshenko Foundation provided the team with Aspire drone detectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to one of the mission leaders, Roxanne Alexander-Jones, who has been helping Ukraine for many years, two medical teams were working in the region simultaneously this month. During the mission, they visited 27 villages, some of which are located just 16 kilometers from the front line. \"\"<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The most important thing we do is ensure continuity of treatment. We regularly supply medicines. Every month, our organization spends over $10,000 on medicines, which we purchase directly in Ukraine, because we want to support the Ukrainian economy,” she noted. <\/p>\n

According to the volunteer, regular medical check-ups help stabilize patients’ blood pressure, improve the condition of people with diabetes, and alleviate the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Roxanne emphasized that for local residents, not only medicine but also attention is important.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Patients are always infinitely grateful. They say that the most important thing we bring them is hope and the feeling that they have not been forgotten,” she said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, every trip to frontline settlements is fraught with danger. Medics work in areas where there is a constant threat of attacks by Russian drones, and temporary clinics have repeatedly come under fire.<\/p>\n

That is why, on the eve of the next mission, the Petro Poroshenko Foundation handed over to the team modern Aspire drone detectors, which allow for early detection of threats.<\/p>\n

“We are very grateful to Petro Poroshenko for the drone protection systems provided. They turned out to be extremely effective and helped us significantly. We were pleasantly surprised by his decision to support us and very much appreciate the promise to continue this assistance,” Roxanne emphasized. <\/p>\n

Global Care Force notes that despite the constant risks, the number of international volunteers joining the work in Ukraine is growing every year. In the future, the organization plans to expand its activities and reach even more Ukrainians with medical assistance. <\/p>\n
