Heavy rain that hit Odessa this morning caused widespread flooding, power outages, and transportation problems. Water flooded roads, residential yards, and the “7 Kilometer” market, while strong currents swept away cars and garbage cans on some streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The consequences of the bad weather were reported<\/a> to the Odessa City Council, which urged residents and visitors to be careful and to refrain from traveling if possible.<\/p>\n

“We appeal to residents and guests of the city not to leave vehicles on storm drains and under trees and, if possible, to limit movement around the city,” the city council emphasized. <\/p>\n

According to local authorities, due to the bad weather in some areas of Odessa, some tram routes have temporarily stopped running, and some consumers have been left without electricity. Eyewitnesses are posting videos on social media of flooded streets and yards, where the water in some places reaches such a level that cars are literally floating on the road.<\/p>\n

In addition, the “7 Kilometer” market was significantly flooded, causing difficulties with movement.<\/p>\n
