According to updated forecasts, active geomagnetic conditions will persist on Earth on July 24, with weak G1-level magnetic storms possible.

This was reported by the British Geological Survey.

According to experts, the speed of the solar wind remains elevated, and an additional impact on the geomagnetic situation may be the coronal mass ejection that occurred on the Sun on July 21.

As scientists note, the main part of the ejection will pass north of the Earth, but our planet may still be partially affected by it. That is why periods of active geomagnetic conditions and weak magnetic storms of the G1 level are predicted today.

During magnetic storms, weather-dependent people may experience headaches, fatigue, drowsiness, blood pressure drops, or a deterioration in well-being. Doctors advise on such days to rest more, follow a drinking regimen, avoid excessive physical exertion, and spend more time outdoors if possible.

While researchers note that the current storm is relatively weak, new scientific research suggests that extreme solar storms, which occur about once every thousand years, may be more dangerous than previously thought, as they can significantly affect satellite communications, GPS navigation, and energy infrastructure.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

The magnetic storm that began on July 22 is lasting longer than scientists expected.
