After a relatively mild summer, Ukraine will be hit by a real heat wave. Already from the beginning of August, the temperature will start to rise rapidly, and the first ten days of the month may become the hottest period of this summer. At the same time, the weather in different regions will be different: some regions will suffer from the heat, while others will periodically experience rain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is evidenced by<\/a> the long-term forecast of Wisemeteo and the forecast of weather forecaster Vitaliy Postryhan.<\/p>\n

According to the weather forecaster, at the end of this week, a high-altitude anticyclone will begin to affect the weather in Ukraine, which will bring hot subtropical air to the country.<\/p>\n

“Predictive numerical models persistently warn that the first ten days of August may become our hottest period of this summer,” Vitaliy Postrygan reported.<\/p>\n

He stressed that prolonged periods of abnormal heat have already become a new climate reality for Europe. According to him, it is this kind of weather that has recently led to large-scale fires, as has already happened in France and Spain.<\/p>\n

After a rainy start to the week, precipitation will gradually stop starting July 29, and the air temperature will begin to rise. Residents of the western and southern regions will feel the fastest warming.<\/p>\n

According to the preliminary forecast by Wisemeteo, August in Kyiv will be warm and mostly sunny. The hottest days are expected to be the first days of the month, and rain will fall approximately once a week.<\/p>\n

In Lviv, the weather will be more changeable – sunny days will alternate with rain, especially in the second half of August. At the same time, the intense heat there will linger only at the beginning of the month.<\/p>\n

Contrasting weather is forecast in Dnipro, with alternating sunny and rainy days, without long waves of extreme heat.<\/p>\n

It will be very warm in Kharkiv for almost the entire month of August – the daytime temperature will rarely drop below +27 degrees, and little precipitation is expected.<\/p>\n

The sunniest weather will be in Odessa. According to preliminary calculations, clear weather will prevail there for most of the month, with rain possible only in mid-August.<\/p>\n

Forecasters emphasize that long-term forecasts are approximate and may be revised closer to the relevant dates. However, weather models already indicate that the beginning of August will bring real summer heat to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
