On the night of Wednesday, July 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important Russian military and logistical facilities and in the temporarily occupied territories. Among the targets hit were the Ryazan oil refinery, a Russian Black Sea Fleet speedboat base in Crimea, a radar station in the Bryansk region, as well as warehouses, drone launch sites, and a bridge that the occupiers were using for military logistics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported<\/a> on the results of the operation. The Special Operations Forces Command also released some details of the strike on the Ryazan Oil Refinery.<\/p>\n

According to the General Staff, a hit and subsequent fire was recorded at the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan region of the Russian Federation. This is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, which annually processes about 17 million tons of oil and produces gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and other oil products used, in particular, to supply the Russian military-industrial complex.<\/p>\n

The Special Operations Forces Command clarified that the operation was carried out by Deep Strike units in cooperation with the Chernaya Iskra rebel movement in Russia.<\/p>\n

“On July 29, Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Chernaya Iskra rebel movement in Russia, struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery,” the SSO reported.<\/p>\n

They emphasized that the company is one of the five largest refineries in Russia, provides about 5% of the country’s entire oil refining and is one of the key suppliers of fuel for the Central Federal District, including the Moscow Region.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ukrainian troops struck a Russian Black Sea Fleet speedboat base in the Mezhvodne area of temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the General Staff, this facility was used for maintenance of boats involved in patrolling, coastal protection, and logistical support for Russian troops.<\/p>\n

The occupiers’ radar station near Pochep, Bryansk region, was also hit.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Defense Forces struck a place of storage, preparation, and launch of strike drones in Donetsk, a warehouse of material and technical equipment in Portivske, and a road bridge in the Vyselki district of Donetsk region, which Russian troops used to transfer equipment and supply their units.<\/p>\n

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically implement measures aimed at stopping the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff emphasized.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, a series of explosions were heard in Ryazan, Russia, on the morning of Wednesday, July 29, during a massive drone attack<\/a> . The strikes resulted in large fires at at least two facilities: an oil refinery and the Wildberries sorting complex.<\/p>\n
