In Kharkiv, law enforcement officers dismantled a scheme for illegally registering disability for military conscripts, which allowed them to receive a deferment from mobilization. During searches, cash worth over 14 million hryvnias was seized from the suspects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, two doctors from medical institutions were involved in organizing the scheme – a neurologist and the head of the therapeutic department, as well as a driver, a computer operator at a regional medical institution, and their civil partner.<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement, the driver and the civilian participant were looking for conscripts who wanted to avoid mobilization. The doctors drew up fictitious medical reports with false diagnoses and created electronic referrals to the regional medical center. The operator entered these documents into the electronic system and submitted them for consideration by an expert commission.<\/p>\n

After that, the commission made a decision to establish a disability group, which became the basis for receiving a deferment from mobilization.<\/p>\n
