US President Donald Trump has denied Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request to transfer 300 Patriot interceptor missiles. Instead, the American leader has promised to license the missiles to be manufactured in Ukraine, although their serial production could take years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the publication, during negotiations at the White House, Zelensky asked Trump to provide Ukraine with 300 Patriot interceptor missiles. The Ukrainian president stressed that due to the reduction in American stocks after the war with Iran, Ukraine may face a shortage of missiles to repel Russian attacks in the winter.<\/p>\n

As journalists note, Trump refused to grant this request. At the same time, he offered Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, however, according to the publication, establishing their mass production could take years.<\/p>\n

Also, according to sources, Zelenskyy proposed to allow the use of the Starlink satellite network to guide long-range drones to targets in Russia. The material notes that Trump’s final decision on this proposal will depend on whether he believes that such a step will contribute to a faster start of negotiations with Russia or, conversely, lead to a further escalation of the war.<\/p>\n
