The first days of August will be the hottest period of this summer in Ukraine. In the near future, a dry subtropical air mass will dominate the country, due to which the air temperature will significantly exceed the climatic norm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by weather forecaster Igor Kibalchych.<\/p>\n

According to him, hot weather will be caused by an area of high atmospheric pressure, light winds, and almost cloudless skies. The highest temperatures are predicted in the western and southwestern regions, where in places the thermometer may reach +40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Weather forecast for the week<\/h3>\n

August 3 (Monday).<\/strong> Mostly dry and sunny. Short-term thunderstorms are possible only in the western, northwestern regions and in Crimea. At night the temperature will be +15\u2026+20 \u00b0C, during the day – +31\u2026+36 \u00b0C, in Transcarpathia – up to +38 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 4 (Tuesday).<\/strong> The heat will intensify. Light rain is possible at night in the north, in the afternoon – in places in the far east. No precipitation is forecast in other regions. The daytime temperature will be +32…+37 \u00b0C, in the southwest – up to +40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 5 (Wednesday).<\/strong> Abnormally hot weather will persist without precipitation. During the day, the air will warm up to +33\u2026+38 \u00b0C, in places in the west \u2014 to +40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 6 (Thursday).<\/strong> Short-term thunderstorms are possible in the western regions and Polesie, with squalls in places. It will be dry in most of the country. The daytime temperature will be +33\u2026+38 \u00b0C, in the southern and western regions – up to +40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 7 (Friday).<\/strong> An atmospheric front will bring rain, thunderstorms, sometimes heavy downpours, hail and squalls to the western, northern and partly central regions. Despite this, the heat will still persist in most regions during the day, reaching +38 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 8 (Saturday).<\/strong> Thunderstorms will cover most of Ukraine. In the west and north it will become cooler – +27…+32 \u00b0C, while in the east and south the temperature will still reach +33…+38 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

August 9 (Sunday).<\/strong> After the front passes, the weather will stabilize. In the west and north, daytime temperatures are expected to be +26\u2026+31 \u00b0C, in the rest of the territory \u2014 +28\u2026+33 \u00b0C. Precipitation is unlikely.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the forecaster noted that a change in weather conditions is expected at the end of the week. With the passage of a cold atmospheric front, rains and thunderstorms will occur in certain regions, and the temperature will gradually begin to decrease.<\/p>\n
