The final decision will depend on a legal assessment and determination of the amount of damage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"404\">This was stated by Lithuanian Foreign Minister K\u0119stutis Budris, a local publication <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delfi.lt\/ru\/news\/politics\/litva-rassmatrivaet-vozmozhnost-vzyskat-s-rossii-ushcherb-prichinyonnyy-posolstvu-v-kieve-120285205\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"406\" data-end=\"540\">According to him, experts must assess the extent of the damage, after which further steps can be determined regarding obtaining compensation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"731\">Budris emphasized that Lithuania actively supports the creation of international legal mechanisms that should ensure the recording of the damages caused by Russia in Ukraine and the subsequent collection of compensation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"882\">He recalled that the Register of Losses is already functioning, and a commission has been created to consider relevant applications, to whose work Lithuania was one of the first to join.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1079\">The Minister noted that currently there is a theoretical possibility to demand compensation for damaged property, but the issue of compensation specifically for diplomatic facilities requires additional legal analysis.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1254\">According to Budris, any damage \u2014 from broken windows to serious destruction \u2014 should be properly documented, and the damages caused should be compensated for in the future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1534\">Earlier it was reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-lytvi-poperedyly-pro-mozhlyvi-provokatsii-rosii-proty-krain-nato\/\">Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda stated about the risk of possible Russian provocations in Poland and the Baltic states in order to test NATO unity<\/a> .
