German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed that Ukraine is already receiving modern RCH-155 wheeled self-propelled artillery systems. Previously, only official information was reported about the training of the Ukrainian military to operate these systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During a visit to the KNDS factory in Kassel, Pistorius said that the first howitzer of this type was prepared for transfer to Ukraine about two years ago.<\/p>\n

“It is here, where you are standing now, that the first wheeled howitzer was prepared and sent to Ukraine two years ago,” the minister said.<\/p>\n

Until now, Germany has only officially confirmed the training of Ukrainian military personnel on the RCH-155, but the actual transfer of these artillery systems has not been publicly announced. It is also currently unknown whether the Ukrainian military is using them on the front.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that discussions are still ongoing between Ukraine and Germany regarding the transfer of Taurus missiles<\/a> . At the same time, the need for them is no longer as acute as it was a few years ago.<\/p>\n
