Graham Russia and Iran Sanctions Act of 2026&#8221; received the support of an overwhelming majority of the US Senate.<\/p>\n<p> The US House of Representatives is expected to consider the document as early as next month.<\/p>\n<p> Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/andrii_sybiha\/status\/2085783585362170260\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">welcomed<\/a> the decision of the US Senate and called it an important step to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;I sincerely welcome the adoption by the US Senate of Lindsey Graham&#8217;s &#8220;Russia and Iran Sanctions Act of 2026&#8243; and am grateful for this important step aimed at further strengthening the sanctions regime against the Russian aggressor,&#8221; Andriy Sybiga said.<\/p>\n<p> According to the minister, the adoption of the bill is a step towards increasing international pressure on Russia and supporting Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression.<\/p>\n<p> The day before, it became known that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-senati-ssha-ofitsiyno-rozpochaly-debaty-shchodo-pekelnykh-sanktsiy-proty-rosii\/\">the US Senate has begun debates on a bill on a new package of sanctions against Russia<\/a> and Iran. The document provides, in particular, for a 500% duty on imports of Russian energy resources and coal into the US.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that Democratic US Congressmen Don Baier and Brad Schneider <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/demokraty-v-konhresi-ssha-rozkrytykuvaly-zakonoproiekt-pro-pekelni-sanktsii-proty-rosii-prychyny\/\">opposed the bill on the so-called &#8220;hell&#8221; sanctions against Russia<\/a> .
