Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia plans to increase the number of North Korean citizens on its territory to 30,000-50,000. According to him, the DPRK is receiving experience in modern warfare and military technology from Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this in an interview with TSN<\/a> .<\/p>\n

According to the president, the presence of North Korean citizens on Russian territory is gradually increasing. Previously, there were hundreds, and later thousands of North Koreans, but now, according to him, Russia plans to increase their number to 30-50 thousand.<\/p>\n

Zelensky noted that the North Koreans are getting an opportunity to learn the lessons of modern warfare by watching Russia’s military operations against Ukraine. In his opinion, this could have consequences not only for Ukraine, but also for security in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n

“We have already found North Korean missiles on the territory of Ukraine. Today this is already a recognized fact. It is absolutely clear that North Korea will build up experience in modern warfare, will receive licenses from Russia, will receive all military tools from them. We clearly understand this,” Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

The President emphasized that the experience gained by North Korea could in the future strengthen its military capabilities and create additional risks in the event of new crises or escalations in the region.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Zelenskyy stated the need to strengthen Ukraine’s cooperation with South Korea. According to him, Kyiv is interested in supporting Seoul, in particular in obtaining air defense systems, which Ukraine currently lacks.<\/p>\n

Ukraine is also ready to develop cooperation with South Korea in the field of unmanned technologies. Zelensky noted that due to Seoul’s legislative restrictions, such interaction has certain difficulties, but Ukrainian diplomats continue the relevant dialogue.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russia has likely received a new batch of North Korean ballistic missiles and may increase their use in attacks on Ukraine<\/a> . This is indicated by the resumption of the use of missiles produced by the DPRK after a break of almost a year.<\/p>\n
