Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the “Midas” case. However, investigators are not yet releasing any details.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semyon Krivonos, at a briefing dedicated to the results of the work of NABU and SAP for the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n

According to Krivonos, “significant, substantial progress” has been made in the case so far, but it will only be possible to disclose specific results when the time is right.<\/p>\n

He also reported that Energoatom does not yet have the status of a victim in this criminal case.<\/p>\n

“As far as I know, there is no victim status in the criminal proceedings yet. But again, I emphasize: according to investigators, more than 100 million hryvnias passed through the relevant laundromat. The investigation is ongoing,” the NABU director said.<\/p>\n

Krivonos added that the bureau expects to complete the pre-trial investigation of the case “on time.”<\/p>\n

At the same time, the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Oleksandr Klimenko, reported that Ukraine has not yet received a response from Israel to its requests for the extradition of suspects in the Midas case.<\/p>\n

In particular, this concerns businessman Timur Mindich and his business partner Alexander Tsukerman.<\/p>\n

“We haven’t received any response yet. That is, the relevant inquiries have been sent, but we’re awaiting a response from the other side,” Klimenko said.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced suspicion against six more participants in the Midas case<\/a> regarding the laundering of criminally obtained property on an especially large scale.<\/p>\n

The day before, “Pryamiy” reported<\/a> that on May 11, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office conducted investigative actions with the former head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.<\/p>\n
