President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a new round of personnel changes in Ukraine\u2019s Armed Forces, with the military leadership already presenting its proposals for the reshuffle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced<\/a> this on Facebook after a meeting with the military leadership.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty, Chief of the General Staff Ihor Skybyuk, and Acting Minister of Defense Yevheniy Khmara.<\/p>\n

According to Zelenskyy, the meeting participants discussed personnel proposals. Drapaty, together with Skybyuk and Khmara, presented a vision of future changes.<\/p>\n

The president noted that some personnel decisions have already been prepared, but the changes in the army will not end there.<\/p>\n

The meeting participants also discussed the situation at the front and measures to strengthen key areas, in particular in the Donetsk region.<\/p>\n

Zelensky noted the results of Ukrainian units in the areas of Sloviansk, Kostyantynivka, and Dobropillya. The president separately mentioned the active actions of the Airborne Assault Forces units and reported that during the meeting, steps were identified that should expand the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian troops.<\/p>\n

In addition, the military leadership reviewed the implementation of the plan for long-range strikes on Russia and operations using medium-range weapons. Some of the planned operations were adjusted, and new ones were approved.<\/p>\n

Special attention was paid to air defense. It was about protecting frontline and border cities and communities, regional centers, and Kyiv. Zelenskyy stressed that he expects Ukrainian diplomats to show results in strengthening the country’s military capabilities. According to him, the issue of providing Ukraine with air defense means should remain among the priorities of international partners.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy, has begun personnel changes in the army<\/a>. According to sources, he has already decided to dismiss several commanders and also reinstated Shamil Krutkov, commander of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade.<\/p>\n
