According to experts, part of it may reach our planet on August 11 and cause an increase in geomagnetic activity.

This was reported by the British Geological Survey.

According to her, the speed of the solar wind remains elevated at the moment, so the probability of a magnetic storm is higher than usual.

A coronal mass ejection occurred on August 8. The main part of it will probably pass north of Earth, but partial contact with our planet is possible. It is this that could cause a geomagnetic storm.

According to the forecast, a weak G1-level magnetic storm is expected on August 11. Separate periods of increased geomagnetic activity are possible.

The most active day may be August 12, as the impact of the solar flare will persist. Geomagnetic disturbances may continue throughout the day.

Activity is forecast to begin to decline on August 13. There may be isolated disturbances, but the solar wind should gradually weaken. A return to calm geomagnetic conditions is expected by the end of the day.

At the same time, experts emphasize that the forecast may change after new data on the speed and direction of the solar wind becomes available.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

The Earth is facing a G1-level magnetic storm due to a coronal mass ejection that occurred on the Sun on August 8.
