The servicemen, who are performing tasks in the Zaporizhia direction, reported on the long stay in positions, problems with rotation, and a shortage of food and drinking water.

In the video, Lieutenant Syschuk, the commander of the fire support platoon of the 3rd Battalion of the 121st OBR, said that his unit is currently seconded to the brigade’s 2nd Unmanned Systems Battalion. According to him, the servicemen arrived to replace soldiers who had allegedly been in positions for about eight months without rotation.

The soldier claims that his unit was promised a monthly rotation, but they have been in their positions since April. In addition, according to him, the prepared main and reserve positions that the command reported did not actually appear.

Syschuk also reported logistical problems. According to him, the soldiers could have gone without food and drinking water for three to seven days, and the destroyed positions forced them to take shelter. He also claims that some fighters were semi-conscious due to lack of water and food.

The commander said that under such conditions, his unit is ready to leave the positions on its own if a safe opportunity arises. The servicemen asked to provide them with a safe corridor and transport for evacuation, emphasizing that they are not abandoning their service.

What did the 121st brigade answer?

The 121st Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the command is taking the necessary measures to provide for servicemen and is working on rotation. At the same time, they emphasized that the information from the video message “does not reflect all the circumstances” of the situation.

According to the brigade, over the past month, Syschuk’s unit delivered 27 packages weighing about nine kilograms each according to the established schedule. At the same time, due to the difficult situation on the route, cargo delivery can sometimes be untimely or take place with losses.

The brigade stated that the commander is personally communicating with the military and is aware of the situation. They urged not to draw premature conclusions without considering the full context.

The command also assured that it is trying to rotate servicemen as soon as possible, given the security situation.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

A video appeal from servicemen of the 121st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty has appeared online.
