The Ukrainian side is ready to return all citizens it agrees to hand over to the Russian Federation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.ua\/rubric-society\/4153525-rosia-posirue-dezinformaciu-pro-nibito-vidmovu-ukraini-zabirati-polonenih-lubinec.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> by Ukrinform with reference to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.<\/p>\n<p> According to the ombudsman, shortly before the start of his press conference, the Russian representative again published lists of Ukrainian prisoners of war and stated that Ukraine was allegedly refusing to take them back.<\/p>\n<p> Lubinets denied these allegations. He emphasized that he is personally participating in negotiations with the Russian side regarding the return of Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n<p> The Ombudsman stated that Ukraine has never given up any prisoner of war, civilian hostage, or kidnapped child. According to him, the Ukrainian side is ready to take back all citizens whom Russia agrees to return.<\/p>\n<p> After receiving the relevant lists from the Russian Federation, Ukraine immediately sends a request and announces its readiness to take people. In return, the Russian side begins lengthy negotiations and delays the process, Lubinets noted.<\/p>\n<p> The Ombudsman believes that in this way Russia is trying to put pressure on the families of prisoners of war and missing persons.
