The Russian Foreign Ministry has sent requests to the United States and Turkey demanding an explanation for the possible supply of American military equipment and weapons to Ukraine. Moscow stated that such supplies could negatively affect Russia’s relations with the United States and Turkey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Moscow considers the conditions and circumstances of possible large-scale supplies of American weapons to Ukraine via Turkey to be controversial.<\/p>\n

“New arms supplies to Ukraine will cause serious damage to Russia’s relations with the US and Turkey,” Zakharova said.<\/p>\n

The Russian Foreign Ministry also claims that Washington and Ankara’s combination of peace-making rhetoric with military aid to Ukraine allegedly undermines mutual trust.<\/p>\n

Zakharova said that the US and Turkey “still have the opportunity to reconsider their intentions.”<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that replenishing the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not capable of changing the course of the war, which in the Russian Federation is called a “special military operation.”<\/p>\n

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on July 23, declared Moscow’s readiness for a political and diplomatic settlement of the war and called for a halt to arms supplies to Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n
