Iranian Army Commander Amir Hatami has announced a $30,000 reward for anyone who captures or kills a US servicemember and hands them over to Iranian authorities. The announcement was made amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States.<\/strong>
\nThis is reported by The Jerusalem Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Khatami, a reward of $30,000, or 5 billion tomans, is provided for each captured or killed American soldier. For Iranian women who carry out such an action, the reward, he said, will be doubled.<\/p>\n

“For every person who kills or captures and hands over an American aggressor, the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the support of participants in the financial jihad and under its own guarantees, will pay a gift,” Khatami said.<\/p>\n

He also promised to double the value of the weapon of a soldier who kills an American serviceman and to preserve his weapon in a future museum.<\/p>\n

Khatami also said that the war with Iran had eroded US military superiority. He said other states were increasingly looking for alternative ways to ensure their own security.<\/p>\n

Separately, the commander of the Iranian army criticized US President Donald Trump’s statements about possibly declaring the Strait of Hormuz “US territory.”<\/p>\n

Khatami also stated that American military bases in the Middle East will not be able to return to their previous status and called on the US to leave the region.<\/p>\n

By the way, the United States and Iran have not yet been able to make progress in negotiations to end the war<\/a> in the Middle East and restore the interim agreement that the parties concluded in June.<\/p>\n
