Russian President Vladimir Putin is demanding that Russian troops establish full control over Donbas. If Moscow does not achieve that goal by the fall of 2027, the likelihood of negotiations could increase, according to officials and analysts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to journalists, Russia may intensify its winter offensive against Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure amid the lack of air defenses in Ukraine. It is also possible that Russia will conduct a new, albeit limited, mobilization after the parliamentary elections in September. Some experts fear that the Kremlin may resort to further escalation and test NATO’s readiness to counter.<\/p>\n

Russia’s war against Ukraine remains a serious security challenge for Europe. A Russian victory could have far-reaching consequences for the region.<\/p>\n

European countries already fund Ukraine’s defense and are likely to provide security guarantees once an agreement is reached. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also advocated for Europe’s participation in future negotiations.<\/p>\n
