The White House has not yet confirmed the visit of US President’s special representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv. It was previously expected that they could arrive in Ukraine in the second half of August, in particular for Independence Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by Suspilne, citing an American official in the White House, who spoke on condition of anonymity.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, the possible arrival of Witkoff and Kushner to Kyiv was indeed discussed, but there has been no final decision regarding the trip yet.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A possible first visit by two representatives of Donald Trump to Ukraine has been rumored for over three months. At the end of July, information emerged that they had agreed to visit Kyiv.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kushner is currently devoting a significant portion of his time to negotiations on the situation in the Middle East. On August 16, he held talks in Cairo with Hamas political leader Khalil al-Hayya, and the next day he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Witkoff and Kushner may arrive in Kyiv in the second half of August and participate in events marking the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.<\/a> <\/p>\n
