The Verkhovna Rada has appointed Andriy Sybiga as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. His candidacy, proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, was voted for by 266 people’s deputies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the publication “Ukrainska Pravda”.<\/p>\n

Sybiga already headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the government of Denys Shmyhal, and also worked as the head of the Foreign Ministry in the previous government of Yulia Svyrydenko.<\/p>\n

Andriy Sybiga was born on January 1, 1975 in Zboriv, Ternopil region. He began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997.<\/p>\n

In 1998\u20132002, he worked at the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, first as the Second Secretary, and later as the First Secretary. In 2002\u20132003, he was the First Secretary of the Legal and Humanitarian Cooperation Department of the European Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

In 2003\u20132008, Sybiga held senior positions in the Contractual and Legal Department and the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2008\u20132021, he worked as a Counselor-Envoy at the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, and in 2012\u20132016, he headed the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

On August 23, 2016, Sybiga was appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey. He served in this position until May 19, 2021, after which he became Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
