In Lutsk, on the evening of August 20, a conflict occurred between civilians, police officers, and military personnel of the CCC. After an attempt to check his documents, the man began to flee, and then about 30 people approached the scene. According to the CCC, they attacked two military personnel and damaged a service vehicle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> on August 21 by the spokeswoman of the Volyn Regional CCC and JV, Darya Stelmashchuk, reports Suspilne.<\/p>\n

According to her, the car was first stopped at a checkpoint near the car market to check documents. The driver refused to show them and did not provide his personal data, after which he drove away.<\/p>\n

A police crew with flashing lights followed the car. Later, on Zahisnyky Ukrainy Street, the driver left the car at a traffic light and began to flee in the direction of residential buildings.<\/p>\n

Police and military personnel from the CCC followed him. When the service car stopped in the arch between the houses, about 30 civilians approached the scene of the conflict, according to the CCC.<\/p>\n

“After that, 30 civilians approached the scene and began to physically resist police officers and military personnel of the CCC, striking them with their hands and unidentified objects,” Stelmashchuk said.<\/p>\n

As a result of the clash, two servicemen received numerous bruises and abrasions. According to the CCC, one of them had shards of glass thrown at him.<\/p>\n

The participants in the conflict also seriously damaged a company car. They broke out its windows and headlights, and damaged all its tires. In addition, according to the CCC, a radio station, a body camera, and keys were taken from the car.<\/p>\n

An investigative and operational group was called to the scene. One of the participants in the conflict was detained and taken to the district police department.<\/p>\n

The Volyn National Police stated that they will provide a more detailed comment after establishing all the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n
