Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has already been briefed on the results of CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s visit to Moscow. However, he did not meet with Putin personally.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Russian Telegram channel “Vy slushali” with reference to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Peskov, during the visit, Ratcliffe met with representatives of Russian intelligence services. He did not specify with whom the negotiations took place.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“I can tell you that there were no meetings with the Russian president. That’s all I can say on this matter,” Peskov said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He added that Putin is being briefed on the details of Russian intelligence services’ contacts with the CIA director.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Kremlin called such contacts a “positive phenomenon.” According to Peskov, the Russian and US intelligence services maintain dialogue even during difficult periods in relations between the countries.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he said it was too early to say whether these contacts would help improve relations between Moscow and Washington, which, he said, were in a “deep crisis.”<\/p>\n

The Kremlin did not disclose what exactly Ratcliffe discussed with representatives of the Russian intelligence services.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that CIA Director John Ratcliffe arrived in Moscow on Tuesday, August 25,<\/a> where he is scheduled to hold talks with Russian officials. Before his trip, the United States warned Ukraine about the delegation’s visit and asked it to temporarily refrain from strikes.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the morning of August 25, an American military transport aircraft Boeing C-17 Globemaster III of the US Air Force<\/a> landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.<\/p>\n
