SBU counterintelligence has neutralized another FSB intelligence network in the Donetsk region. Four members were detained in Kramatorsk; according to investigators, they were collecting and transmitting information about the Ukrainian Defense Forces to Russians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The SBU reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement officials, the agents’ priority targets were reserve command posts, logistics units, fortifications, and the routes of movement of Ukrainian troops towards the front.<\/p>\n

The suspects also monitored the aftermath of Russian strikes on Kramatorsk. Russian intelligence services could have used the information they obtained to prepare new attacks and adjust follow-up ones.<\/p>\n

According to the case materials, three members of the network were recruited because of a long-time acquaintance living in St. Petersburg who, according to the SBU, was in contact with a representative of the so-called “FSB Directorate in the DPR.”<\/p>\n

One of the agents turned out to be a driver for a municipal utility in Kramatorsk. During work trips around the city, he allegedly located Ukrainian military personnel and passed the information on to the Russian side. According to investigators, the man also sought out potential recruits.<\/p>\n

The network also included a local plumber and his wife. The couple drove around the city, using their phones to record objects they believed were being used by the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, another local resident, a real estate agent, was brought in to cooperate. According to investigators, she collected information about the locations of Ukrainian military personnel and their routes.<\/p>\n

The SBU reported that all four defendants were detained at their residences. During searches, law enforcement officers seized smartphones and other electronic devices that may contain evidence of their activities.<\/p>\n

The detainees were charged with treason committed under martial law. All four remain in custody. If found guilty, they face life imprisonment and confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a man in Kyiv suspected of working for the FSB<\/a> . According to investigators, he was collecting coordinates of objects that the Russians could use as targets for missile and drone strikes on the capital. <\/p>\n
