According to investigators, they raised over 12 million hryvnias to purchase 580 FPV drones for Ukrainian troops in the Kharkiv area, but never delivered the drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The SBU press service reported this.<\/p>\n<p> The investigation established that the scheme was orchestrated by the commander of the Trofimukharsky Defense Troops brigade, who held the position at the time of the crime. To cover up the deal, the defendants entered into fictitious contracts for the supply of UAVs.<\/p>\n<p> According to the SBU, none of the 580 drones were actually delivered to the military. However, the perpetrators documented the drones as if they had been handed over to Ukrainian Armed Forces units.<\/p>\n<p> Specifically, the commander provided the service members with forged UAV acceptance certificates for signature. He then demanded that the drones be concealed from inspection and written off as assets supposedly lost on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p> The commander and three other suspects were detained at their places of service.
