On the evening of August 30 and the night of August 31, the United States and Iran exchanged blows for the first time in over a month. The American military attacked Iranian launchers near the Strait of Hormuz, after which Tehran announced strikes on two American air bases in Jordan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The US military has struck several Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island near the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US, the launchers were preparing to remotely mine the strait.<\/p>\n

The US Central Command said that Iranian units posed a threat to civilian sailors and merchant shipping.<\/p>\n
