On the night of September 1, Russian forces fired a ballistic missile at a railway depot and other facilities in Kyiv. Seven people were killed, six of them Ukrzaliznytsia employees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by the head of the company, Oleksandr Pertsovsky.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Russians targeted the railway infrastructure. Another company employee was injured and is in the hospital.<\/p>\n

Dozens of railway workers managed to hide in shelters during the attack. The depot itself suffered significant damage: one of the workshops was completely destroyed, and work is ongoing nearby due to a fire.<\/p>\n

Due to the impact, traffic on two railway lines was temporarily stopped, but was later restored.<\/p>\n

Ukrzaliznytsia expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and noted that they are helping them cope with the loss.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that after the massive Russian attack on the Kyiv region, dead bodies were found on a railway platform near damaged logistics centers.<\/a> Restoration work was carried out in the Brovary district, and train traffic in the damaged area was temporarily suspended.<\/p>\n
