This is necessary in case of supply disruptions due to Russian strikes on infrastructure and logistics facilities.

This was stated by the head of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in Kyiv, Anatoliy Katerenchuk, on the air of “Noviny.LIVE”.

He emphasized that this is about a moderate supply for autonomous living, not about mass purchasing of products.

First of all, there should be enough drinking water at home. Its quantity should be calculated according to the needs of each person. It is also advisable to have basic long-term storage products for 7–12 days.

At the same time, there is no need to buy cereals, oil, and other goods months in advance.

“There is no need to chaotically and panic-strickenly purchase products for a month or more. They have their expiration date, so you need to monitor not only the quantity, but also the quality,” Katerenchuk explained.

According to him, there is currently no food shortage in Ukraine. Even if certain goods temporarily disappear from shelves due to logistics problems, they can be replaced with imported products.

“We do not have and will not have a food shortage,” the official assured.

He advises paying special attention to the storage of supplies. Cereals should be kept in a dry, cool, and dark place, preferably in airtight containers. Other products should be stored according to the temperature regime and shelf life specified by the manufacturer.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

Ukrainians are advised to stock up on drinking water and food supplies for at least a week, and preferably 7–12 days, in advance.
