Russia has declared its readiness to continue the war against Ukraine militarily if Kyiv does not agree to Moscow’s conditions. In particular, the Kremlin is demanding recognition of what it calls “realities on the ground.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, during a meeting of the UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n

According to Nebenzi, Moscow sees no possibility of ending the war diplomatically without Ukraine’s agreement to Russian demands.<\/p>\n

“Without recognition of the existing realities on the ground, there will be no peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine,” said the Russian representative.<\/p>\n

He also accused the Ukrainian authorities of allegedly refusing to recognize the “choice of millions of people” and eliminate the so-called “root causes of the crisis.”<\/p>\n

In addition, Nebenzia stated that Russia’s contacts with Western countries regarding the war against Ukraine have effectively ceased.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russia is preparing for a possible increase in attacks on Ukraine amid the lack of progress in talks to end the war. Moscow, in particular, is considering new ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the Kremlin’s position on negotiations with the United States regarding the war in Ukraine and stated that Moscow is supposedly used to resolving issues “nobly” and “boyishly.”<\/a><\/p>\n

By the way, the Kremlin stated that a meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin is possible only after reaching preliminary agreements<\/a> . Moscow believes that the summit should be devoted to fixing the final agreement, and not to holding initial negotiations.<\/p>\n
