According to the preliminary forecast, most of the month will pass in a relatively calm environment, with the most noticeable activity expected in the second half of September.

This is evidenced by preliminary calculations by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center.

However, experts emphasize that the forecast of geomagnetic activity may change as the relevant dates approach.

No significant disturbances are forecast for early September. The first noticeable changes in the geomagnetic situation may occur on September 12–16.

The most active period, according to current calculations, will fall on September 24–26 . In particular, a geomagnetic disturbance is predicted for September 24, and G1-level magnetic storms are predicted for September 25 and 26.

The G-index is used by NOAA to rate the strength of geomagnetic storms. A G-level of 1 corresponds to a weak storm and a K-index of 5. The K-index itself rates geomagnetic activity on a scale of 0 to 9.

At the same time, it is difficult to make an accurate forecast several weeks in advance. Solar activity is constantly changing, so data closer to a specific date may differ significantly from current data.

During geomagnetic disturbances, some people may complain of fatigue, drowsiness, or headaches, but such symptoms should not be automatically associated with magnetic storms. In any case, experts advise to adhere to a normal sleep schedule, drink enough water, and not overexert the body.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

In September, the Earth may be covered by several waves of geomagnetic disturbances.
