The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has taken into custody the Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Serhiy Kropyva. The court has set an alternative bail of UAH 120 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The SAPO requested to take Kropyva into custody with the alternative of bail of 200 million hryvnias<\/strong> . At the beginning of the hearing, the official’s lawyers asked to postpone it, stating that the suspect received the motion shortly before the hearing and the defense did not have time to familiarize itself with the documents and prepare a written position.<\/p>\n

According to the SAPO prosecutor, Kropyva is suspected of “covering” a network of fraudulent call centers and legalizing property. In particular, it is about legalizing property in the amount of 41.7 million hryvnias between August 2025 and September 2026 during his work in the Prosecutor General’s Office.<\/p>\n

Kropyva is also suspected of legalizing property worth 48.2 million hryvnias during his time as deputy head of the Odessa Regional Administration from August 2023 to May 2025.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor stated that one of the secret curators of some of the call centers was the president of FC Kharkiv Bohdan Boyko. According to SAPO, Kropyva warned him about selective searches in “unfriendly” call centers in Dnipro and asked to provide their addresses so as not to touch Boyko’s call centers.<\/p>\n

Also, according to the prosecutor, Kropyva met with a relative of Artem Radchenko, who was internationally wanted by the US Secret Service for fraud. The investigation also recorded conversations in which Kropyva allegedly lobbied the Prosecutor General to appoint certain individuals to leadership positions in regional divisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor noted that after NABU’s requests to banks regarding the assets and finances of the group members, Kropyva discussed these requests and took measures of conspiracy. According to the SAP, in the summer of 2026, the group members prepared for possible searches, in particular, they stored cryptocurrency on cold wallets, hid things and equipment, registered property in the names of trusted people, and prepared phones for remote deletion of information.<\/p>\n

Separately, the prosecutor spoke about Kropyva’s ties with Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. According to him, the investigation recorded their communication, which allegedly suggests that Kropyva was “under the protectorate of the Prosecutor General.”<\/p>\n

According to the prosecutor, Kropyva also organized renovations to the house in Kozyn where Kravchenko lives, including the installation of a gas generator. In addition, the investigation alleges that he organized the flight of Kravchenko’s wife and cohabitant to Spain on the eve of the Prosecutor General’s business trip there and planned to celebrate his birthday in Madrid.<\/p>\n

During searches at the Prosecutor General’s Office at Kropyva’s workplace, according to the prosecutor, funds and expensive watches were discovered.<\/p>\n

After Kropyva was placed under preventive detention, the court must consider the issue of a preventive detention for his cohabitant, Elizaveta I. Her lawyers also requested that the hearing be postponed due to lack of time to review the case materials.<\/p>\n

By the way, NABU and SAPO exposed a criminal organization whose members systematically received illegal benefits from fraudulent call centers and legalized the funds received<\/a> . According to the investigation, the organizer of the scheme was one of the heads of structural units of the Prosecutor General’s Office.<\/p>\n
