Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy held a meeting with senior sergeants from the branches and arms of the armed forces, corps, and military command bodies. Following the discussion, the military personnel developed a list of systemic issues that require solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Drapatiy reported this on social media.<\/p>\n

According to the commander-in-chief, most of the meeting’s participants had arrived directly from combat zones, along various front lines. Therefore, the discussion focused not on theory, but on the actual state of affairs in the troops, combat experience, and solutions that need to be implemented immediately.<\/p>\n

Participants discussed the functioning of the NCO corps, problems affecting its capabilities, ways to solve them, and the further development of NCOs in wartime conditions.<\/p>\n

“An open discussion, challenging questions, brainstorming, and, most importantly, a search for specific algorithms and actions that can and should be implemented now,” Drapatiy noted.<\/p>\n

What problems were identified?<\/h3>\n

The commander-in-chief emphasized that sergeants perform critically important tasks \u2013 from training military personnel to directly commanding personnel in combat.<\/p>\n

In particular, sergeants adapt newly arrived soldiers to combat zones, organize their supplies, equipment, and living conditions, prepare them for combat missions, and are responsible for their exit from their positions.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday, a sergeant was a soldier himself. Today, he’s a commander, the one closest to the soldier and best able to see the unit’s real situation on the ground,” the commander-in-chief declared.<\/p>\n

Based on the meeting’s results, a checklist of problematic issues was developed in several key areas:<\/p>\n
