On the night of Tuesday, September 8, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Explosions and fires were reported in at least five districts of the capital, damaging residential and non-residential buildings and an educational institution. Two people were killed, and seven others were injured.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Kyiv City Military Administration, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“As of 06:30, 7 victims are known. Unfortunately, there is also information about 2 deaths as a result of an enemy attack,” the KMVA reported.<\/p>\n

In the Holosiivskyi district, a 26-story non-residential building collapsed at the 23rd floor level as a result of the impact. No further burning occurred.<\/p>\n

A garage caught fire at another address. The fire spread to a nearby non-residential building and a business center. During the investigation, rescuers rescued one victim.<\/p>\n

Also in the Holosiivskyi district, a blast wave damaged a 16-story apartment building. Two people were trapped in the apartment – emergency workers took them out to fresh air.<\/p>\n

In the Solomyanskyi district, people were trapped in a five-story apartment building. Rescuers rescued 10 people, and another person was hospitalized.<\/p>\n

A garage on the territory of a private house caught fire in the Darnytskyi district. The fire has been extinguished.<\/p>\n

A warehouse building caught fire in the Podilskyi district, and cars and garage boxes were also on fire.<\/p>\n

In the Dnipro district, rescuers were extinguishing a fire in garages.<\/p>\n

Rescue and emergency operations in the capital are ongoing.<\/p>\n
