A fire broke out at a fuel oil terminal in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, at night after a drone attack. Local residents reported explosions, Russian air defenses, and drone flights, and OSINT analysts determined that the fire occurred precisely at the Novorossiysk fuel oil terminal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The attack was reported by the independent Russian media outlet ASTRA, the mayor of Novorossiysk, Andriy Kravchenko, and monitoring channels.<\/p>\n

Around midnight, residents of the city began reporting the sounds of drones flying overhead, explosions, and Russian air defenses. After that, footage of a fire in the port infrastructure area appeared online.<\/p>\n

Novorossiysk Mayor Andriy Kravchenko confirmed the drone attack. According to him, the drone debris fell on the territory of enterprises and near a residential building. Russian authorities claim that it was the falling debris that caused the fires. According to preliminary data, there are no injuries.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian authorities initially did not disclose the name of the enterprise where the fire broke out. ASTRA OSINT analysts, based on footage from the scene, established that one of the fires occurred on the territory of Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal LLC.<\/p>\n

According to Dnipro Osint, the strike hit the facilities of the port complex. Analysts claim that at least one tank of the fuel oil terminal was damaged. There is currently no official confirmation of this information from the Russian side.<\/p>\n

Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal is one of the major enterprises of the city’s transport hub. It is part of the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, the largest seaport in Russia in terms of transshipment volumes. The enterprise specializes in the storage and transshipment of fuel oil and light petroleum products, and its throughput capacity is about 4 million tons per year.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian side has not yet officially reported the destruction of facilities in Novorossiysk.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of Tuesday, September 8, the Saratov region of Russia was attacked by drones<\/a> . In Saratov, after a series of explosions, a severe fire broke out in the area of an industrial zone, and the main target, according to the ASTRA OSINT project, could have been the Saratov oil refinery. The regional authorities reported damage to civilian infrastructure and casualties.<\/p>\n
