Russia plans to print over 7.2 million ballots for the so-called “elections” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. At the same time, the lists formed by the occupation authorities include about 3.56 million “voters.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the “Eastern Human Rights Group”.<\/p>\n

According to human rights activists, the Russian Central Election Commission has ordered the production of 3,641,720 ballots for each of the two types of voting \u2014 party lists and candidates in single-mandate districts. In total, they plan to print 7,283,440 ballots.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian lists in the occupied territories indicate 3,560,657 “voters.” Thus, for each type of voting, 81,063 more ballots will be printed than the officially indicated number of people on the lists.<\/p>\n

In particular, the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast accounts for 1,656,420 ballots for each type of voting, Luhansk Oblast \u2014 1,209,500, Zaporizhzhia Oblast \u2014 435,200, Kherson Oblast \u2014 340,600.<\/p>\n

Human rights activists note that it will be virtually impossible to control the use of ballots and the reliability of the results.<\/p>\n

In the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast, there is no open video surveillance of the “voting” process. Protocols will be compiled and transmitted electronically.<\/p>\n

In the occupied part of Kherson region, early exit “voting” is planned to be held at 128 out of 175 polling stations. According to human rights activists, ballot boxes will be brought to apartments, yards, and businesses.<\/p>\n

The “Eastern Human Rights Group” believes that such an organization of the process creates conditions for fraud and coercion of people dependent on the occupation authorities to participate in the Russian “elections.”<\/p>\n

According to human rights activists, the Kremlin has already determined the desired indicators – turnout should be 65\u201370%, and at least 70% of the votes should be cast for United Russia.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russians in the occupied Donetsk region have begun early “voting” in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.<\/a> So-called election commissions accompanied by security forces are visiting local residents.<\/p>\n
