It is capable of intercepting air targets at a distance of up to 10 km and an altitude of up to 5 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/militarnyi.com\/uk\/news\/v-ukrayini-rk-19-do-kompleksu-osa-akm\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is reported by<\/a> &#8220;Military&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> The RK-19 was shown at the MSPO international defense exhibition in Poland. The missile is intended to replace the Soviet 9M33 ammunition, the reserves of which the Ukrainian military is gradually depleting.<\/p>\n<p> The RK-19 was first announced in April 2026. It was then shown in a video greeting from President Volodymyr Zelensky on Gunsmith&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p> The main characteristics of the missile have already been revealed. The RK-19 develops a speed of up to 600 m\/s and uses a radio command guidance system. The mass of the missile with the launch container is 163 kg, and the warhead weighs 14.3 kg.<\/p>\n<p> According to the declared characteristics, the RK-19 corresponds to the Soviet 9M33M3 in terms of range and altitude of destruction. At the same time, the Ukrainian missile has a higher maximum speed &#8211; up to 600 m\/s versus 500 m\/s for the Soviet ammunition.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Osa-AKM&#8221; is a Soviet-made all-weather anti-aircraft missile system designed to cover troops and important facilities from air attacks. One self-propelled installation carries six anti-aircraft missiles.<\/p>\n<p> As previously reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukraina-vpershe-pokazala-koral-u-dii-novyy-zrk-poliuvatyme-na-balistyku\/\">Ukraine has publicly shown for the first time a self-propelled launcher of the new Koral anti-aircraft missile system, designed, in particular, to intercept ballistic targets<\/a> .
