Chisinau called these claims false and an attempt to justify the Russian strike, which killed two people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Radio Moldova <a href=\"https:\/\/radiomoldova.md\/p\/84734\/-o-justificare-cinica-si-inacceptabila--reactia-chisinaului-la-atacul-rusesc-soldat-cu-victime-civile-la-frontiera-cu-ucraina\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> this with reference to the country&#8217;s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p> The Foreign Ministry stated that Russia acknowledged the deliberate attack on the Tudor-Starokozache checkpoint, but is attempting to explain the attack by claiming it was allegedly transporting weapons to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> The Moldovan side categorically denied this.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> &#8220;Weapons are not transported to Ukraine through the territory of the Republic of Moldova \u2013 neither through the Tudora-Starokozache checkpoint nor through other checkpoints,&#8221; the department stated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> Chisinau emphasized that these points are used by civilians, in particular families, children, mothers, and the elderly.<\/p>\n<p> The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the attempt to explain the deaths of civilians by alleged military transports &#8220;cynical and unacceptable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> Moldova condemned the Russian strike and said it ruled out attempts to justify it with false information and disinformation.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, on the night of September 9, Russian drones <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiyski-drony-atakuvaly-kpp-na-kordoni-z-moldovoiu-ie-zahybli\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"116\" data-end=\"207\">attacked<\/a> the Ukrainian Starokozache checkpoint in the Odesa region near the border with Moldova.
