SBU counterintelligence prevented the contract killing of a well-known public activist in the Kyiv region. Law enforcement officers detained a 19-year-old killer who was recruited by the FSB.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is known that the special operation was carried out under the personal coordination of the head of the SBU, Major General Oleksandr Poklad.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the attacker planned to shoot the activist during his morning walk with his dog in the forest. To do this, he monitored the man’s daily routine and travel routes.<\/p>\n

The agent also received from the Russian special services the coordinates of the cache, from where he took a pistol with cartridges and a silencer.<\/p>\n

According to FSB instructions, the killer was to spend the night in the forest near the activist’s house, and in the morning, ambush him and kill him with several shots.<\/p>\n

The SBU uncovered the Russian secret service’s plan early on. The killer was detained in the forest while preparing for the assassination attempt.<\/p>\n

According to the case materials, the FSB agent turned out to be a 19-year-old resident of Mykolaiv. Russian special services drew attention to him due to his activity on social networks, where he published posts in support of fascist and Nazi ideology.<\/p>\n

After recruitment, the FSB sent him to Kyiv to commit murder.<\/p>\n
