The Ryazan Oil Refinery in Russia suspended operations following a Ukrainian drone attack on September 6. The strike shut down two of the refinery’s units, one of which accounts for nearly half of its capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reuters reports this, citing its own sources.<\/p>\n

According to the agency’s sources, the refinery’s main unit, with a capacity of approximately 8 million tons of oil per year, was shut down following the attack. Another unit, capable of processing up to 4 million tons of oil annually, was also shut down.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the third main installation of the enterprise has been undergoing maintenance since mid-May.<\/p>\n

Reuters sources noted that repairs to the damaged equipment could take several weeks.<\/p>\n

The attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery occurred on the morning of September 6. Following the strike, a fire broke out at the facility.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time the plant has been damaged by drone attacks. Its infrastructure was previously hit on May 15 and July 29, forcing operations to be suspended. <\/p>\n
