The Russian occupation authorities have taken on the task of eliminating waste dumps in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. This includes all such mounds in the region – there are about 600 of them in total.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> Bakhmut IN.UA.<\/p>\n

The first works, according to the occupation authorities, have already begun in Snizhne. It is there that they plan to test the technology, which they can later apply to other waste dumps.<\/p>\n

Decisions on the future fate of these objects are being made with the participation of Russian specialists. According to the representative of the occupation administration, Sergei Mikhalyov, specialized institutes from different regions of Russia are involved in the work.<\/p>\n

This is not just about the alleged ecological improvement of the territories. The occupiers view the waste dumps as a source of raw materials. They plan to extract coal residues and other minerals from them, and use the resulting materials, in particular, in construction.<\/p>\n

Back in July, Russian propaganda sources reported on the extraction of coal and raw materials from Donetsk dumps. According to them, the materials are already being used to build roads and other facilities.<\/p>\n
