Russia has announced the expansion of its network of “Russian Houses” in 10 countries around the world. New centers are planned to be created on the basis of local organizations, cultural centers, and universities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Chaika, announced plans to expand the network.<\/p>\n

It is noted that 8 of the 11 new centers are planned to be opened in Africa: in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Mali, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. The list also includes Armenia and Thailand.<\/p>\n

The new “Russian Houses” will be created on the basis of existing local organizations, including NGOs, cultural centers, and universities. This format allows them to operate within the framework of local legislation without concluding official interstate agreements.<\/p>\n

The Center for Countering Disinformation noted that “Russian Houses” are tools of Russian hybrid influence, disguised as cultural exchange. Because of this, a number of countries are closing or restricting the activities of such centers for national security reasons.<\/p>\n
