Commander of the Third Army Corps Andriy Biletsky said Ukraine has a chance to hold the \u201cbelt of fortress cities\u201d and improve its positions in certain areas of the Donetsk front. He added that the Ukrainian military could deliver the first results in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The press service of the Third Army Corps reported this.<\/p>\n

Biletsky noted that the situation at the front remains difficult, but this period is not the most difficult of the war.<\/p>\n

“The Ukrainian front has every chance to hold advantageous defense lines\u2014the so-called ‘belt of fortress-bridges,’ as well as to improve the situation in some sections of the Donetsk front. Soon we will demonstrate the first results, which will be indisputable,” Biletsky said.<\/p>\n

Previously, Biletsky denied the Russian side’s statement about the alleged capture of Svyatohirsk in the Donetsk region and released a video from the city center.<\/p>\n

As is known, in 2026, Ukrainian troops seized the initiative on the front<\/a>, almost eliminating the territorial gains of the Russian army and conducting a number of successful counteroffensive operations.<\/p>\n

Recall that Russian occupation forces have approached less than 15 km from Sloviansk and <\/a>Kramatorsk,\u00a0key cities of Ukrainian defense in the Donetsk region. Against this background, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are strengthening command in the most difficult areas, preparing for a possible escalation of fighting in the fall.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty, announced the principles by which he will lead the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the priorities are the preservation of personnel, professional personnel decisions, and rapid adaptation of the troops to changes on the battlefield.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Mykhailo Drapaty, in his first month as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has already begun to restructure the military command system. Key steps include changes in the eastern direction, new corps commanders, and preparations to update\u00a0the leadership of the Land Forces.<\/a><\/p>\n
