The global market could lose up to 4% of its oil supplies if the route is not restored.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelnewsasia.com\/world\/saudi-pipeline-houthis-global-oil-6381366\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Channel NewsAsia<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The pipeline carries oil across the Arabian Peninsula to the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia has not yet reported the extent of the damage or the timing of its restoration.<\/p>\n<p> According to journalist sources, repairs could take 5 to 6 weeks. However, partial oil pumping may resume earlier.<\/p>\n<p> Over the past six months, the pipeline has allowed about 4 million barrels of oil per day to be diverted to Yanbu, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. This is about 4% of global oil supplies.<\/p>\n<p> According to sources, the stocks in Yanbu are only enough to support exports for 5-7 days. Saudi Arabia also has stocks in the Egyptian ports of Ain Sokhna and Sidi Kerir, but their tanks are not fully filled.<\/p>\n<p> The International Energy Agency reported on September 11 that Saudi oil supplies fell to their lowest level in more than 30 years in August. The agency predicted that global oil supplies could fall by 5.7 million barrels per day, or about 6%, this year.<\/p>\n<p> Saudi Arabia told OPEC that its production in August fell to 6.2 million barrels per day, down from 10.9 million barrels per day in February.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/svitovi-tsiny-na-naftu-zrosly-pislia-udariv-ssha-ta-iranu-skilky-koshtuie-palyvo\/\">oil prices rose by more than 2% on August 31 after the exchange of blows between the US and Iran<\/a> .
